The AHDB have placed the following advert in the trade press:

YOUR CHANCE TO MAKE A REAL DIFFERENCE TO THE FUTURE OF THE BRITISH HORTICULTURE INDUSTRY

The Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) is looking foran individual with experience in the field vegetables sector to join the SectorBoard of its horticulture division (AHDB Horticulture, formerly HDC).You will assist the Sector Board Chair in developing strategy, overseeingfinancial issues and ensuring effective governance. In addition, the appointee will be expected to chair the AHDB Horticulture Field Vegetables Panel, which commissions levy-funded research work for the industry. Applicants should therefore ideally have a current active role within the field vegetables industry.


Sector Board members are expected to make a time commitment of around two days per month and attend all AHDB Horticulture Board meetings (up to four a year), with additional requirements agreed with the Sector Board Chair. We can offer a challenging opportunity for you to contribute to the UK horticulture industry and make a difference to AHDB. You will need to be professional, flexible and adaptable in order to support the change that is required to develop the on-going success of AHDB Horticulture.
